Anon #1- Oh, there was definitely a better way to do this: kick Whitney and/or Chelsea to the curb and keep Up All Night where it was on Wednesday nights since it was doing respectable numbers there. But they fucked up, and from a purely ratings, network-y point of view, they’re thinking “Oh, well, this show that has, what we think to be, a loyal, established fanbase is doing considerably worse, maybe we shouldn’t have messed with the formula.” And now they have to face the consequences of their fuckups, which is Internet wrath, which is sometimes very appropriate but this is not one of those times.
Anon #2- I knew I forgot something. This is different. And yeah, you had. Last year, Parks fans did the impossible and that made them mighty, but this isn’t that because A) it’s a pretty normal thing to take a break around March/April and B) this helps fans for the future of the show because better timeslot equals more Nielsen eyeballs equals higher ratings equals higher chances for a fifth season which is good.
